Bio: Prof. Zeshui Xu is a Distinguished Young Scholar of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Chang Jiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education of China, and the national expert with outstanding contributions. He is currently a professor at the Business School, Sichuan University, China. Meanwhile, he is also an Adjunct Professor at the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the School of Economic and Management, Southeast University, and the School of Management and Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology, etc. 

Prof. Xu has been the Director of more than 30 research projects and has designed and participated in several international collaborative projects. He has authored 11 monographs published by Springer and contributed more than 370 SSCI or SCI indexed papers. He is one of top ESI global scientists in the fields of both Computer Science and Engineering (ranked 14th among 3,084 in Computer Science and ranked 299th among 8,250 in Engineering. Released by Clarivate Analytics, Nov, 2017). He has been invited as the technical program committee member of more than 50 internal and international academic conferences. For his outstanding technical contributions and pioneering applications, Prof. Xu has been elected to be Fellow of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), Fellow of IFSA (International Fuzzy Systems Association), Fellow of IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology), Fellow of BCS (British Computer Society), and Fellow of RSA (Royal Society of Arts). He has also been selected as “The Highly Cited Researchers” from 2014 to 2018 in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering (Released by Thomson Reuters and Clarivate Analytics), and the Most Cited Chinese Researcher in Computer Science from 2014 to 2018 (Released by Elsevier).

Bio: Prof. Yong-Duan Song ((Fellow of IEEE)) received his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, USA, in 1992. He held a tenured Full Professor position with North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, from 1993 to 2008 and a Langley Distinguished Professor position with the National Institute of Aerospace, Hampton, VA, from 2005 to 2008. He is now the Dean of School of Automation, Chongqing University, and the Founding Director of the Institute of Smart Systems, Chongqing University. His research interest covers biologically inspired control, artificial intelligent and robotic systems, and fault-tolerant control with applications. Prof. Song has received several competitive research awards from the National Science Foundation, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Army Research Office, and the Office of Naval Research.
